His experience in mergers and acquisitions includes representing BHP Billiton in connection with the carve-out of certain assets as part of the multi-billion dollar demerger of South32; TPG and Gávea Investimentos in their acquisition of a 25 percent equity interest for approximately $230 million in Rumo Logística; América Móvil (the largest wireless operator in Latin America) in over 10 international acquisitions, restructurings and joint ventures; and a number of private equity and financial and strategic investors in various distressed investments and debt restructurings throughout Brazil and Latin America, including Edenor, Cydsa, CTI Holdings, BCP/BSE, and Alestra.
