George Lasek joined SMEC in 2011 and was appointed chief operating officer - Americas in 2017 after serving as chief operating officer - South Asia and Middle East since 2015. Prior to this, Lasek held the role of managing director SMEC India and regional manager India and Bhutan. George has over 30 years of experience in both the private and public sectors and has proven his ability to operate effectively at both an operational and strategic level within large, complex business environments. George holds a bachelor of civil engineering from the University of Wollongong.
