Gustavo López is the vice-president and legal and regional counsel of Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic and chairman of the legal committee of the Latin America Multichannel Advertising Counsel. He also serves on the boards of directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami and the senior legal committee of the Television Association Programmers (Latin America). Prior to joining Discovery, he was senior director of legal affairs for the HBO Latin America Group. Mr López began his career by working as a cross-border corporate, finance and acquisition transactions attorney in the international corporate department of White & Case LLP. He holds a BA in history and political science from the University of Miami and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
