Hernán Rincón
Hernán Rincón is president of Microsoft Latin America. He is responsible for the long term business strategy for the 46 countries and territories in Latin American and the Caribbean in which Microsoft has presence. Before being named president, Mr. Rincón served as the sales, marketing and services vice president for Microsoft Latin America, in charge of leading sales for small and mid-size businesses, OEM Manufacturers, large corporations, and local governments, as well as Microsoft’s extensive Partner ecosystem. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was president and CEO of Ferag Americas, a Swiss company specializing in state-of-the-art, high-tech solutions for the printed media industry. At Unisys, where he worked for 11 years, Mr. Rincón held several positions at the company’s global headquarters in Pennsylvania, USA, including global chief information officer and worldwide vice president of the Financial Services Line of Business. He holds a Master’s degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University as well as a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Andes University in Colombia and a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the State University of New York.
Hernán Rincón es presidente de Microsoft Latin America. Es responsable para la estrategia a largo plazo para los 46 países y territorios de América Latina y el Caribe donde Microsoft tiene presencia. Antes de ser nombrado presidente, Rincón trabajó como vicepresidente de ventas, marketing y servicios de Microsoft Latinoamérica, a cargo de líderes de ventas para las pequeñas y medianas empresas, OEM Manufacturers, grandes corporaciones y los gobiernos locales, así como el extenso de socios de Microsoft. Antes de unirse a Microsoft, fue presidente y CEO de Ferag Americas, una compañía suiza especializada en soluciones de alta tecnología para la industria de los medios impresos. En Unisys, donde trabajó durante 11 años, Rincón ocupó varios cargos en la sede mundial de la compañía en Pennsylvania, incluyendo director de información global y vicepresidente mundial del Financial Services Line of Business. Recibió su maestria del John F. Kennedy School of Government en Harvard University, así como una maestría en ingeniería industrial de la Universidad de los Andes en Colombia y una licenciatura en matemáticas y computer science del State University of New York.
