Jonathan H. Herbst is managing director and senior member of UBS’ Global Media & Communications Group. He is also the co-head of the firm’s Chicago office and Midwest Region. During his tenure at UBS, Mr. Herbst has participated in a wide range of strategic advisory and financing transactions, with a primary focus on the telecommunications sector. His experience includes corporate acquisitions, mergers, restructurings and leveraged buyouts, as well as public and private equity, high yield and leveraged loan financing for numerous US and multi-national companies. Prior to joining UBS in April 2001, Mr. Herbst was with the Media and Telecommunications Group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston. He received a BA from Bowdoin College in Economics and Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
