Juan Pablo del Valle Perochena
Juan Pablo del Valle Perochena is the chairman of Orbia. Since becoming chairman in 2011, he has transformed Orbia from a local chemical company to a world leader in polymers, fluor, precision agriculture, data communications, and building infrastructure solutions. Del Valle has headed real estate investments for Grupo Empresarial Kaluz, his family business, and has facilitated Kaluz’s participation in Orbia since 2003. In 2001, he founded Grupo Módulo Progresivo, an affordable housing development company. Del Valle worked for Telmex from 1996 to 1999, where he led the implementation of the first fiber optic sea cable project connecting the United States, Mexico and South America. He also holds positions on the board of directors for Johnson Controls Inc. and Elementia. Del Valle is the chairman of Mexico City’s first water fund, a co-chairman of the Latin American Conservation Council at The Nature Conservancy, and a member of the International Advisory Board at Harvard Business School and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Anáhuac University and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
