Lina García
Lina García is a distinguished Dominican business leader and the current president of Envases Antillanos, a leading company in the packaging industry that is part of Grupo Linda. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 1996 and later earned a master’s degree in Business Administration through a joint program between APEC and Université du Québec à Montréal, where she graduated with the highest academic ranking in her group. She joined Envases Antillanos in 1995, where she has held key leadership positions, including Purchasing Manager, Executive Vice President, and, since 2018, President.
Beyond her corporate leadership, García has played an active role in the Dominican Republic’s industrial and private sectors. She was the first woman to serve as president of the Board of Directors of the Association of Industrialists of the Northern Region (AIREN) from 2008 to 2018 and has served as Vice President of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) since that same year. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Linda, Multimedios del Caribe, Seguros Universal, the Association for Development (APEDI), and the Corporation for the Santiago Industrial Free Zone, contributing to the country's economic and industrial growth.
Lina García es una destacada líder empresarial dominicana y actual presidenta de Envases Antillanos, una empresa líder en la industria del empaquetado que forma parte del Grupo Linda. Se graduó Magna Cum Laude en Administración de Empresas por la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) en 1996 y posteriormente obtuvo una maestría en Administración de Empresas a través de un programa conjunto entre APEC y la Université du Québec à Montréal, donde se graduó con el mayor índice académico de su grupo. Ingresó a Envases Antillanos en 1995, donde ha ocupado importantes cargos de liderazgo, incluyendo Gerente de Compras, Vicepresidenta Ejecutiva y, desde 2018, Presidenta.
Además de su liderazgo empresarial, García ha tenido un papel activo en el sector industrial y privado de la República Dominicana. Fue la primera mujer en ocupar la presidencia de la Junta Directiva de la Asociación de Industriales de la Región Norte (AIREN) desde 2008 hasta 2018 y, desde ese mismo año, se desempeña como vicepresidenta del Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (CONEP). También forma parte del Consejo de Directores del Grupo Linda, Multimedios del Caribe, Seguros Universal, la Asociación para el Desarrollo (APEDI) y la Corporación Zona Franca Industrial de Santiago, contribuyendo al crecimiento económico e industrial del país.
