Luis Fernando Helguero is the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru. He previously served as Vice Minister of Tourism in 2006.

From 2010 to 2019, he served as Commercial Economic Counselor in Japan. During this time, he promoted the export of Peruvian products to the Asian country, reporting the implemented actions to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and the Ministry of Foreign Relations (RR.EE). Previously he occupied management positions in the private sector and served as general manager of the Association of Exporters (ADEX).

Mr. Helguerro graduated from Pacífico University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and complementary studies in Foreign Trade.
