Marc Reichardt
Marc Reichardt has been president of the Bayer Brazil Group since September 2018. Born in Barcelona, Marc is Spanish and naturalized as Brazilian, he is married and has three daughters. Graduated in Agronomic Engineering at Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agraria (Spain), at the same place where he also completed his master's degree. He began his activities at Bayer in 1985 as a Sales Representative at Bayer Hispania AS.
In 1989, he was nomenated regional manager for Spain. He then pursued a successful career with the company, going through countries such as Poland, Germany and Argentina, as well as Brazil. In 1992, he moved to Warsaw, Poland to assume the position of National Manager of the Bayer Poland. In 1996, he was transferred to Bayer AG, Monheim, Germany, as product manager for Rice Herbicides. In 1999, he was named head of Bayer Crop Science Cono Sur, based in Argentina.
The executive also has ten years of experience in the Brazilian market. From 2003 to 2013, he chaired the Crop Science division for Brazil and Mercosur. Thereafter, he was appointed to the Bayer Crop Science Executive Committee as head of Business Operations for Latin America, from 2006 to 2013. Prior to returning to Brazil to assume the presidency of Bayer Group in the country, Marc was a member of the Executive Board of Bayer AG's Crop Science division in Germany, responsible worldwide for Agricultural Trade Operations, between 2014 and August 2018.
