Marcelo Haddad is the CEO of Rio Negócios, the investment promotion agency for Rio de Janeiro. In this role, he is responsible for attracting and facilitating inward investment to the city. Previously, Haddad was the project director for the secretary of economic development, where he managed the revitalization of Rio de Janeiro’s port area. Before that, he served as general manager at ADT Security Services Brazil, a subsidiary of Tyco International Company, and held senior executive roles at a number of other companies, including HSBC, Citibank, and PepsiCo. Haddad received a Bachelor’s degree in law from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and specialized in business management at Harvard Business School.
