Marcelo Kfoury is the head of the Economic Research Department of Citigroup Brazil. He also contributes to the Citi Research team, covering economic and political developments in Brazil. Previously, he served as head of the Economic Research Department in the Brazilian Central Bank. His team was responsible for the coordination of economic research and the presentation of inflation models to the Monetary Policy Committee (Copom). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and PhD in economics from Cornell University.
