Marcos Pereira
Marcos Pereira is the minister of Industry, Trade, and Services of Brazil. He is an expert in criminal law and a professor with a number of publications on the area. President of the Brazilian Republican Party, Pereira is currently on leave to carry out his duties as minister. He is a founding member of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Jurists. Pereira has lectured on criminal law at the Institute of Public Law in Brasília and has been a member of the Special Committee on Business Law of the Brazilian Bar Association. He was vice president of Rede Record, the second largest broadcast television in Brazil. At the time, he led the repositioning of the company, when the station registered its highest growth since its creation in the 1950s. Pereira has considerable financial experience from his time as director and board member of Renner Bank.
