Martín Migoya
One evening after work in 2003, Martín Migoya got together with three of his friends at a pub in Buenos Aires and identified some of the gaps that existed in the emerging global software industry. They were inspired to build a new pure play company that would create software for clients the world over, and Globant was born.
As Globant’s CEO, Martín has always been relentlessly focused on making the company grow. He drove the company from a small start-up to the first Latin American software company to hold an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2014. Today, Globant is a global player with more than 28 thousand professionals working over 33 countries around the world. Today, Globant is working for world class customers such as Google, Rockwell Automation, Electronic Arts and Santander, among others.
Deeply passionate about inspiring future entrepreneurs, Martín gives regular town halls and pep talks to both the Globant team, as well as at forums and events around the world. He has been a judge at the Endeavor Entrepreneurs panel and at La Red Innova. Globant has been featured as a case study at Harvard, Stanford and MIT, where Martín has been invited to present the company to their MBA students as they assessed the case “Globant, Leading the IT Revolution in Latin America.”
Although the duties of chief executive are consuming, Martín still makes time for his love for music, rehearsing and performing regularly with his band Sonic Diamonds. His passion has become part of Globant’s DNA, as many of the company’s facilities include rehearsal studios complete with instruments for Globers’ use.
He co-authored two books, The Never Ending Digital Journey and Embracing the Power of AI, where he shares his thoughts on how technology is changing the world and how brands need to adapt to lead this revolution.
Martín holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of La Plata and an MBA from CEMA University.
Together with his three fellow Globant co-founders, Martín was recognized as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2005. In 2019 he was named Top CEO of the Year at the 2019 CEO World Awards and CEO of the year by El Cronista Comercial (Argentina). As a member of AEA and Ernst & Young he was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013.
