Mauricio Tarazona
Mauricio Tarazona is the head of Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) for Panama, with the responsibility to lead the areas of international trade, supply chain finance, export agency finance, local and international cash management, and the trust business within the country. Prior to this assignment, he managed the TTS business for Costa Rica from 2012 to 2015. Tarazona Joined Citi Peru in 2005 as a product manager for trade finance and services covering Peru and Bolivia and since then has taken on new positions with expanded roles. In 2010 he became head of the trade and corporate lending business for Peru. During this time, Tarazona lead the identification and disbursement of major structured trade/supply chain/EAF and lending deals in excess of $1.4 billion. He is a credit officer, focused on corporate, multinational, financial institutions and public-sector entities. Tarazona has over 15 years of banking experience and worked in regional and global financial institutions mainly in the areas of international trade, corporate finance, correspondent banking, financial institutions, and cash management. He is currently a member of the board of the ACH Clearing System in Panama (Telered) and throughout the years has participated in business audits around Latin America, conducting product, risk, and business assessments in countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, and Panama. Tarazona holds a BA in economics and an MBA from Universidad de Lima, in addition to post-graduate studies in finance and international business.
