Mauro Roca is a senior Latin American economist at Goldman Sachs. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Roca was a senior emerging markets strategist and economist at Deutsche Bank and held similar positions at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. Prior to that, he was an economist at the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and a financial analyst at the Central Bank of Argentina. Currently, he is also a professor of economics at Columbia University. Roca holds a PhD (with distinction) and a MPhil. in economics from Columbia University, an MA in economics from CEMA University in Argentina and a B.Sc. (summa cum laude) in economics from the National University of Córdoba in Argentina.
