Miguel Messmacher is undersecretary for revenues at the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit since December 2012. Previously, he was head of the Economic Planning Unit of Public Finance, chief advisor to the undersecretary of finance and public credit, director of investor relations at the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit, economist at the International Monetary Fund and economic researcher at the Department of Economic Research of the Bank of Mexico. He has also been professor of macroeconomics at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and has several publications on macroeconomics. He holds a bachelor´s degree in economics from the ITAM and a PhD in economy from Harvard University.
