Nelson Pizarro Contador is the Vice President of Minera Lumina Copper Chile SCM, and CEO of Caserones Mine. From 2003 to 2006, Nelson was the corporate vice president of CODELCO’s north division. Previously, Mr. Pizarro took over as vice president of Antofagasta Minerals and was General Manager of Los Pelambres mine, which also belongs to Luksic family group. From 1990 to 1997, Nelson Pizarro was General Manager of Andina Division and Chuquicamata Division, mines owned by CODELCO. Nelson holds a Civil Engineer of Mines degree from the University of Chile.

Nelson Pizarro Contador es vicepresidente de SCM Minera Lumina Copper Chile y gerente general de Minera Caserones. Anteriormente, fue vicepresidente corporativo de Codelco, división norte entre los años 2003 y 2006. Anteriormente, el Sr. Pizarro asumió el cargo de vicepresidente de minería de Antofagasta Minerals S.A. y luego gerente general de Minera Los Pelambres, perteneciente al mismo grupo minero de la familia Luksic. Fue también gerente general de división andina y división Chuquicamata, minas pertenecientes a CODELCO entre los años 1990 y 1997. El Sr. Pizarro es Ingeniero Civil de Minas de la Universidad de Chile.
