Nick Berger is a managing director and member of the Transition Capital team within BlackRock's Equity Private Markets group (EPM), where he leads sourcing, capital formation, product strategy, and thought leadership efforts related to the transition to a low-carbon economy.

 Prior to joining EPM in 2023, Nick was a member of BlackRock's Corporate Strategy team where he was responsible for executing cross-functional initiatives designed to achieve the company's long term growth objectives. From 2015-2019, Nick was a member of the firm’s Financial Markets Advisory group focused on providing balance sheet, capital markets, risk, and regulatory advisory services to banks, central banks, and financial intermediaries. Nick began his career at BlackRock as an Analyst in 2008 in our Financial Institutions Group, within BlackRock’s Global Client Business, and was responsible for maintaining relationships with insurance clients. Nick earned an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Literature and Political Theory from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
