
Paola Knizek
As part of the GPS Advisory team, Paola Knizek is focused on advising Latin America multinational corporations (including Brazil) on how to structure, develop and optimize their Treasury groups as their businesses grow into increasingly global organizations. Paola has over 15 years of experience working in Treasury positions across the Americas, having led and implemented several global strategic initiatives including cash optimization, implementation of shared service centers, supplier finance programs, cash management, and others.
Previous Experience: Prior to joining Bank of America two years ago, Paola was the Treasurer for the Americas at Nidec Global Appliance. In her role at Nidec, Paola participated in the acquisition of Whirlpool’s compressor business and the set up of a new global treasury office to support operations in Brazil, US, Mexico, Italy, and China. Paola led key functions such as establishing global best practices, working capital optimization, cash management, and other strategic treasury services. Prior to Nidec Paola worked at Bunge, Cargill, and Citigroup, having worked in their US and Brazil offices. Paola holds a Bachelor degree in Finance from Universidad Externado de Colombia (Bogotá), and a Master from Columbia University (New York). Paola is originally from Bogotá, Colombia and based in São Paulo, Brazil.
