Ram Bala Chandran is a portfolio manager on the Emerging Markets Debt team at investment management firm Neuberger Berman, responsible for FX and rates management, covering Latin America. Additionally, Chandran is responsible for making macro-economic forecasts for Latin America and providing country views pertaining to Latin America to the sovereign team. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, Chandran held a similar role at ING Investment Management and before that he worked at Citigroup as an emerging market trading strategist and as Latin American FX and local markets strategist. Chandran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India and earned a Master’s of Science in Computation for Design and Optimization from the Massachusetts, Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge.
