Roberto Jaguaribe
Roberto Jaguaribe is president of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency - Apex-Brasil. He previously held posts at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving as under-secretary-general for political affairs II, director of the Trade Promotion Department, and head of the Intellectual Property and Sensitive Technologies Division, among others. Prior to this, Jaguaribe held the posts of president of the National Institute of Industrial Property, secretary of industrial technology at the Ministry of Development, Industry, and Foreign Trade, and secretary of international affairs at the Ministry of Planning and Budget. He joined the diplomatic service in 1978. Jaguaribe served abroad as the Brazilian ambassador to China and to the United Kingdom, and was minister-counsellor at the embassy of Brazil in Washington, DC. He holds a degree in systems engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
