Rodolfo G. Spielmann is managing director and head of Latin America at CPP Investment Board. In this role, he is a member of CPPIB's Latam regional Investment Committee and leads all of CPPIB's investment activities in the Latin America region, including Public and Private Markets, Real Estate and Investment Partnerships, covering equity, debt, and real asset investments. Previously, Spielmann spent over 21 years with Bain & Company, in a number of increasingly senior positions. He was most recently a director and partner, acting as a senior member of the Bain South America Partnership. As practice leader, South America Financial Services, Spielmann built and led the expansion of the Financial Services Practice, also covering several business sectors including agri-business, private equity investors, and their portfolio companies. In addition to working in Brazil, he has led client relationships in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. In Germany, Spielmann was a principal in Bain & Company’s Munich office and a member of the global Financial Services and Retail/Consumer Good practice groups, working for Bain’s Munich, Madrid, and Stockholm offices. Prior to his employment with Bain & Company, he spend four years working in retail and corporate finance with Deutsche Bank in Spain and Germany. Spielmann holds an MBA from The Wharton School in Philadelphia, and a bachelor's of economics from the University of Buenos Aries in Argentina.
