Ruthie Zeltzer is executive director of Human Resources and HR lead for Latin America at Merck (known as MSD outside the United States and Canada). With 25 years of experience as an HR professional, she provides HR support to over 5,000 employees across the region. Through a strong partnership with the leadership team, Zeltzer is responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent for the region and company. In her role, she focuses on designing strategies for driving business growth, employee engagement, culture, diversity and inclusion, and constant transformation. Zeltzer joined MSD in 2007 as HR director in Israel and has advanced to several senior HR leadership roles, including in Eastern Europe and Russia. She also served as executive director of Global Talent Development in the company’s headquarters in the United States, managing a global team of talent leaders. Prior to joining Merck, Zeltzer held various leadership HR roles at Cisco Systems, LSI Logic, Compugen Bioinformatics Israel and Manpower, obtaining diverse experience in all people/HR areas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminology from Bar-Ilan University in Israel and fluently speaks three languages.
