Sebastian Briozzo is senior director and analytical manager for Latin America in the Sovereign Ratings Group at Standard & Poor's in Mexico. He began his career at Standard & Poor’s in the Latin America International Public Finance group in 2000. Since then, Briozzo has expanded his analytical reach covering a wide range of sovereign and IPF credits, working out of the New York office from 2002 to 2006 and the Buenos Aires office from 2006 to 2015. He has been a key contributor to Standard & Poor’s franchise in Latin America as an active participant in a large number of public engagements through which he built strong relations with key clients and the investor community. Previously, Briozzo worked at the Latin American and Caribbean unit in the World Bank in Washington, DC, the Center of International Economy in Buenos Aires, and the Argentinean Ministry of Economy. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs and economic policy from Columbia University in New York and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires.
