Simoni Morato
Simoni Morato has been the chief executive officer of Safra National Bank of New York, a company part of the J. Safra Group, since February 2006. She also serves on the bank’s Executive Committee and is a member of the bank’s Board of Directors. Under Simoni’s leadership, Safra National Bank of New York specializes in providing Private Banking and Wealth Management services to high-net-worth clients both internationally and domestically. Morato has been working for the J. Safra Group since 1994. Before becoming CEO, she held various positions within the group’s Treasury and International Private Banking divisions both in the United States and Brazil. She started her career at Bank Boston in Sao Paulo, Brazil, gaining knowledge and experience within the credit and large corporate relationship divisions.
Morato serves as the president & chairperson of the Board of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. She graduated in economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), one of the best universities in Latin America, and is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Morato is married with two children and spend most of her time in the New York area.
