With extensive knowledge in cross-border trade and electronic payments acquired through over 15 years of experience within the financial world, Wagner Ruiz is a co-founder and Board Member of EBANX. As a global financial expert, Wagner was EBANX's chief financial officer for more than nine years since the company's foundation in 2012 and designed all of EBANX's cross-border payments infrastructure, acting behind the financial architecture linking EBANX to the world. In May 2021, he became chief risk officer, focused on the company's risk management, strategic partnerships, and regulatory operation, essential pillars in its growth—a role he occupied until June 2022. Wagner studied Economics at Mackenzie University in Brazil and is a specialist in fintech finance, regulatory systems - how to interact with them and be disruptive -risk and compliance, and business opportunities in times of crisis.
