BizAsia America: Farnsworth on European Countries' Denial of Air Space to Bolivian President

On CCTV's BizAsia America, COA's Vice President Eric Farnsworth discusses the reaction in Latin America over the alleged refusal to allow Bolivia's presidential plane to fly through parts of European airspace. The plane was thought to be carrying  Edward Snowden, wanted for leaking documents from the National Security Agency. Regarding implications for diplomatic relations, Farnsworth notes that this event will blow over. However, "it's another issue in the long line of the perceived slights that Latin Americans have against North Americans and Europeans,” he noted. “[I]t will continue to feed that narrative of being a region that is perennially underappreciated and where their dignity has not been dually respected by others around the world."
