In a Bravo Leadership Spotlight conversation as a part of the 27th COA Symposium and BRAVO Business Awards, Kaszek’s Hernan Kazah and Nicolas Szekasy described their vision for Latin America's technology sector from the perspective of their firm, which provides expertise on strategy, operational execution, and fundraising for technology and innovation entrepreneurs in Latin America.
Szekasy explained how Kazsek was born. More than 15 years ago while working at Mercado Libre, the two businessmen began to realize there was a scarcity of capital for entrepreneurs in the region and went on to found the company in 2011. Since then, Kaszek has raised more than $2 billion to become the largest Latin American early-stage fund. The co-founders explained the milestones they’ve witnessed in terms of Latin American technology and what they are considering for venture capital in the region’s future. "We invest for the very long term," said Szekasy.
