Kicking off the 2015 Latin American Cities Conference in Bogota, AS/COA's Ragnhild Melzi jumpstarted discussion on Colombia's economy by saying foreign investors are more optimistic about a country’s growth potential than the people who live there day to day. From abroad, she said, the measures of fiscal measures and management undertaken by the Santos administration are seen favorably.

Fedesarrollo's Leonardo Villar gave an outlook on the Colombian economy and the effects of current international volatility.
