What is the state of press freedoms in the Americas? Journalists winners of the 76th Annual Maria Moors Cabot Prizes discussed the threats and changing landscape of the profession at AS/COA on October 15. The award winners gave insights on their work reporting in Latin American countries, outlined the dangers they face, described their use of technology to report in the region, explained economic challenges confronting newsrooms, and weighed in on the pros and cons of the impact of electronic and social media.
