Video - The Pacific Trade Agenda: Implications for the Western Hemisphere

On September 10, 2013, the Council of the Americas, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Asian Development Bank held a public discussion on the evolving pan-Pacific trade architecture.

With numerous trade initiatives underway, and a goal of concluding negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Pacific Alliance by the end of this calendar year, what is the prevailing vision for Pacific region trade over the longer term? Are existing initiatives complimentary? What do they mean for Latin America? How can interested parties build on the Pacific agenda to help shape hemispheric trade and investment expansion? 

These and other important issues were discussed by a panel of experts from the policy and business communities.
