Aimé Iglesias Lukin Named Director and Chief Curator of Visual Arts at the Americas Society

Aimé Iglesias Lukin has been appointed the new director and chief curator of visual arts at the Americas Society, the New York–based organization dedicated to fostering an understanding of the political, social, cultural, and economic issues confronting the Americas. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Iglesias Lukin is an art historian and curator who has lived in New York since 2011. She is also a Ph.D. candidate in art history at Rutgers University and is specializing in modern and contemporary Latin American art.
Previously, Iglesias Lukin has held positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Institute for Studies in Latin American Art, and the Fundación PROA in Buenos Aires. She has received grants for her research from the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, the Met, and the Terra and Mellon Foundations, and won the Peter C. Marzio Award for outstanding research in twentieth-century Latin American and Latino art from the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston...
