NACC Presents Report to North American Leaders

The North American Competitiveness Council (NACC)—a trilateral council of business leaders representing the private sectors of Canada, Mexico, and the United States—offered their first report to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, President Felipe Calderón and President George W. Bush on August 21 in Montebello in Quebec, Canada.
 
In their report Building a Secure and Competitive North America, the NACC offers reflections on the progress made so far on more than 50 concrete recommendations in three key areas: border-crossing facilitation, standards and regulatory cooperation, and energy integration. These recommendations are designed to strengthen North American competitiveness in global markets while improving public safety and security.
