U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau head to Mexico to meet with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on January 9 and 10 for the North American Leaders’ Summit (NALS). The Summit comes at a critical time, with pandemic recovery and recession concerns weighing on the global economy.

With that in mind, experts AS/COA and the U.S.-Mexico Foundation (USMF) held a virtual press briefing to share insights on topics of major importance to North American relations.

In conjunction with the press briefing, AS/COA and USMF released a report with fact sheets covering major topics relevant to the NALS summit, including trade, immigration, security, pandemic preparedness, climate change, and the 2026 World Cup.
