Oscar Maúrtua de Romaña graduated from the Pontificia Catholic University of Peru with a bachelor’s in humanities and a law degree from the Major National University of San Marcos, as well as a degree in international relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Peru. He receive the National Prize for Culture in 1968. Maúrtua de Romaña has postgraduate degrees from the Universities of Oxford, Johns Hopkins, and the Inter-American Juridical Committee of the OAS Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic (1980–1985).

Rodrigo Jiménez Castellanos is group head of public affairs communications and sustainability for EMEA & Latin America at American Tower Corporation. He joined American Tower in 2013. He has over 20 years of experience in public and corporate affairs, in different industries such as mining, financial services, and consumer products. Prior to joining American Tower, Castellanos served as vice president of corporate affairs for South America at Barrick Gold Corporation.

James Attwood is a senior commodities reporter with Bloomberg News, focusing on mining, metals, and agriculture in the Americas. Based out of Santiago, Chile, Attwood has led several reporting teams in his 14 years with Bloomberg. He previously covered Asian metal markets with Dow Jones Newswires from his native Australia and was managing editor for Business News Americas.

Lourdes Melgar is a research affiliate at MIT's Center for Collective Intelligence and a non-resident Fellow at the Center of Energy Studies of the Baker Institute. She is also non-Executive director of listed companies and holds positions in the advisory board of the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI), Phius, and Voz Experta (@Vozexperta), an organization that promotes the empowerment of women energy experts. She is the former president of the Mexican Chapter of the International Women´s Forum.

Julie Cerqueria most recently served as the Executive Director of the U.S. Climate Alliance, a bipartisan coalition of governors working together to advance the most ambitious state climate agenda in our nation's history. As its inaugural director, Ms. Cerqueira played an integral role in building the coalition from the ground up and provided the tools, resources and technical expertise to help two dozen governors deliver on their climate and clean energy priorities. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Advisor to the Special Envoy for Climate Change at the U.S.

Alejandro Daniel Lew has held the position of Chief Financial Officer at YPF since June 2020.

He has worked in the energy industry for several years, occupying different positions of financial responsibility in leading renewable markets companies. He previously served as CEO at 360 Energy Group and as CFO at Genneia.

Nymia Almeida is a senior vice president at Moody’s Corporate Finance Group in Mexico City, leading the credit analysis and rating process for debt issuers in the oil and gas industry in Latin America. Prior to this position, she had similar responsibilities for the Latam media and telecom and the metals and mining sectors. Almeida joined Moody’s in 2005.

Jaime Caballero is the chief financial officer of Ecopetrol (NYSE: EC), the largest company in Colombia and one of the leading integrated energy and infrastructure conglomerates in Latin America. Caballero’s academic background includes a law degree from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), an MBA in energy business from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (Brazil), and executive studies in advanced financial management at Duke University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. His trajectory covers more than 20 years in the global energy sector.

Luis Fernando Mejía is the executive director of Fedesarrollo, the Colombian think tank. He was the deputy minister and minister of planning of Colombia from 2014 to 2018. During his tenure, the Ministry of Planning led the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals agenda, designed and published long-term policies on green growth and air quality in cities, and provided technical support and coordination for the government during Colombia’s successful accession process to the OECD.

Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui is the former Mexican ambassador to the United States, a position she held from December 2018 to February 2021.
