Adalberto Maluf is the national secretary of urban environment and environmental quality for the minister of environment and climate change. Maluf holds a bachelor's in international affairs and an MSc in internal political economy at the Institute of International Relations of University of Sao Paulo (IRI/USP). Maluf was the director of government affairs, sustainability and marketing for BYD Brasil (Build Your Dream) from 2014-2023.

Luciana Barbosa de Oliveira Santos was appointed by President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva to take over the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation in December 2022, and is the first woman to hold the position.
