He also held the position of General Director of Puerto Rico in the same company. Gabriela Zapata is a strategic advisor on financial inclusion and financial health in Latin America to private and public institutions, including many fintech companies. She currently works on projects with BFA Global, CGAP, the MetLife Foundation, and the office of Queen Máxima of the Netherlands who is the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

Fernando Trujillo

Fernando Trujillo has been the senior vice president of business strategy and transformation at MetLife Mexico since July 2019. In his current role, he is charged with developing and driving the strategic direction for MetLife Mexico, leading the company’s digital transformation, and the development and execution of growth opportunities. Trujillo started his career at MetLife’s Tampa offices and has been with the company for 18 years.

Felipe A. Pérez Sosa

Felipe A. Pérez Sosa is the director of the FAIR Center for Financial Access, Inclusion and Research at the Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey. Additionally, he is a full-time professor in the accounting and finance department of the Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey and is a partner of GON International, a business consulting firm in Washington, DC.

José Antonio Quesada Palacios is the Vice President of Regulatory Policy at Mexico’s National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV). At a corporate level, Quesada has served as a Senior Partner for Customers and Markets, and Financial Services Leader for PwC Mexico. He has also collaborated with the financial sector with J.P. Morgan Chase, GBM International and Euromex, where he advised companies in the management of derivatives.

John Kerry

On January 20, 2021, John F. Kerry was sworn in as the first U.S. special presidential envoy for climate and the first-ever principal to sit on the National Security Council entirely dedicated to climate change. President Joe Biden announced Kerry would have a seat at every table around the world as he combats the climate crisis to meet the existential threat that we face. In recent years, Kerry was the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace’s first-ever visiting distinguished statesman, following his four years as the 68th U.S. secretary of state.

Tatiana Clouthier

Tatiana Clouthier has been Minister of the Economy of Mexico since January, 2021. She has been twice a congresswoman, most recently from 2018-2020 where she acted as deputy coordinator of the MORENA caucus and previously from 2003-2006. Clouthier was campaign manager for President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during the 2018 elections. Previously she worked at the municipal and state government level in Nuevo Léon for twelve years.
